Learn how to make Delicious Starter Recipe - 'Dragon Chicken' with our chef Smita Deo.<br /><br />Dragon chicken is a delicious Indo-Chinese starter recipe which you can find in any Chinese restaurant. It is chicken strips marinated, fried and sauteed in a spicy and tangy sauce. Serve dragon chicken as an appetizer or as a side dish with Chicken fried rice or Chicken Hakka Noodles or any other Asian rice preparation.<br /><br />Ingredients for Fried Chicken: <br />(Serves 3)<br />- 500 gms Chicken (Boneless)<br />- 1 tsp Garlic Paste<br />- 1 tsp Ginger Paste<br />- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder<br />- Salt <br />- 1 tsp Soy Sauce<br />- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Paste<br />- 1 Egg<br />- 2 tbsp Corn Flour<br />- 2 tbsp Plain Flour(maida)<br />- Oil(frying)<br /><br />Ingredients for Sauce:<br />- 2 tbsp Oil<br />- 1/4 cup Cashew Nuts<br />- 3 Dry Red Chillies(chopped)<br />- Bell Peppers(chopped)<br />- 1 Onion(diced)<br />- 1 tsp Ginger Paste <br />- 1 tsp Garlic Paste<br />- Salt<br />- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder<br />- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Paste<br />- 1 tsp Soy Sauce<br />- 1/2 cup Ketchup<br />- 1/4 cup water<br />- 1 tsp Sugar <br /> <br />Method:<br />1. Take thin stripes of boneless chicken in a large bowl<br />2. Add ginger & garlic paste, black pepper powder, soy sauce, red chilli paste over the chicken, and mix it all together<br />3. Crack one egg to the chicken bowl and mix it again<br />4. Now, add cornflour, Plain flour(maida) to the chicken bowl and mix it well <br />5. In a pan full of hot oil, add these chicken pieces and deep-fry them for around 5 minutes <br />6. Once fried, take the fried chicken pieces out and keep it aside<br />7. Now, in a separate wok, add 2 tbsp oil, followed by 1/4 cup cashew nuts and fry them till the cashew nuts changes to light golden in color<br />8. Now, add dry red chillies, bell peppers, diced onion and saute it for few seconds<br />9. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, black pepper powder, red chilli paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup; mix it well and add water to it<br />10. Now, add fried chicken and sugar to it and keep mixing it till each chicken pieces and vegetable is coated well <br />11. Remove this in a serving bowl and serve it hot<br />
